Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Donna, the virtual receptionist service operated by Semicolon One Technologies ("we", "us"). By subscribing to Donna or using this website, you agree to these terms.
The service
Donna answers inbound phone calls on behalf of your dental practice, books appointments into your practice management system, collects intake information, follows up on missed calls, and provides transcripts and analytics. Donna backs up your team — she is a coverage tool, not a substitute for clinical or front-desk judgment, and you remain responsible for your patient relationships and records.
Accounts and setup
You must provide accurate practice information during onboarding (services, providers, hours, fees, escalation protocols). A one-time setup fee applies as quoted at signup. You are responsible for keeping your practice configuration current.
Billing and cancellation
- Plans are billed monthly in Canadian dollars, in advance, with no long-term contract.
- Included minutes reset each billing cycle; overage is billed at the per-minute rate disclosed before you sign.
- You may cancel at any time with 30 days' written notice.
- Launch offers (such as unlimited minutes for the first two months) apply only as described at the time of signup and may be changed or withdrawn for new customers.
Acceptable use
You may not use Donna for unlawful robocalling or telemarketing, to impersonate another business, to collect information from callers deceptively, or in any way that violates telephony, privacy, or health-information laws that apply to your practice.
No medical advice
Donna schedules appointments and triages urgency according to the protocol your practice defines. She does not provide medical or dental advice. Emergency escalation rules are configured by you, and you are responsible for ensuring they meet your professional obligations.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed appointments or lost revenue.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active customers by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
